Welcome to the new Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Community Archive.

The Dungannon and South Tyrone Community Archive is part of the Northern Ireland Community Archive.  It represents the communities which make up the Borough of Dungannon and South Tyrone, and gives individuals and groups the opportunity to create their own online archives, thus allowing a worldwide audience to share in their rich cultural and historical heritage.

Heritage Education in this Borough received a very welcome boost when Hill of The O’Neill and Ranfurly House Arts & Visitor Centre was opened in October 2012.  This centre is on the site of the ancient home of the O’Neills, and Ranfurly House Arts & Visitor Centre contains a permanent exhibition on The Flight of The Earls and the Plantation of Ulster.

The Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Community Archive is co-ordinated from Ranfurly House Arts & Visitor Centre by Peter Lant, Education Officer.  If you have a project, or items which you think are worthy of being archived, contact Peter at Ranfurly House Arts & Visitor Centre, 028 8772 8600, or email peter.lant@dungannon.gov.uk

The website for the centre is www.dungannon.info
